The nation’s number three wireless carrier Sprint’s HTC Hero will indeed be launching on October 11th. Sprint’s first Android-powered handset is definitely the sexiest official Android handset to date. The most important thing to note regarding Sprint’s version is the Hero has been completely restyled for Sprint. Gone are the hard lines and prominent chin, having been replaced by rounded corners and, well, a baby chin. The Hero will launch for Sprint on October 11th, as mentioned above, for $179.99 on a 2-year contract after rebate. An unlimited data plan will be required and Sprint’s Everything Data plans start at $69.99 per month for 450 peak minutes and the works. Pre-registration (note: not pre-order) is now available for those eager to already claim stake.
