Rogers Wireless could carry the HTC Touch2 in North America

Rogers Wireless of Canada could very well be the first mobile carrier in North America to make the HTC Touch2 available to the masses, at least that’s what some sources have pointed out. Word also has it that this Windows Mobile 6.5-powered smartphone will also feature several colors that won’t be considered normal for the handset. The Touch2 will include the new features of WM 6.5, such as a revamped Internet Explorer Mobile with Flash support, Windows Marketplace for Mobile, and Microsoft’s My Phone backup service. As part of the HTC’s Touch series, the smartphone will also use the company’s TouchFlo 3D interface and include the touch-sensitive zoom bar that we first saw on the HTC Touch Pro2 and the Touch Diamond2. Other features of the HTC Touch 2 include a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and quad-band world roaming. The device has a 3.2-megapixel camera, 512MB ROM/256MB RAM, and a microSD expansion slot. There is still no word on pricing or a launch date.
