The Alcatel Ultra 995 runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread
The Alcatel Ultra 995 runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and features a 4.3 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, 5MP rear camera with flash, front-facing camera, micro HDMI, and a processor that’s clocked at 1GHz or 1.4GHz. The handset also supports DLNA gaming – it can be used as a Wi-Fi remote when playing games on a smart TV. We’ve previously heard that the Alcatel 995 would be update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed. We should find out more about the handset (including when it’s going to be released) at MWC 2012 next month. Until then, you can check out the two videos below (from Phandroid) – the first one is a brief overview of the Alcatel Ultra 995, and the second one shows off its DLNA gaming capabilities.
