If you have a Blackberry Pearl and you wanted to make your phone a little uniques then you can di it just by changing the color of your trackball. happen to be this is relatively easy as well. The Pearl has a muti-color LED beneath the trackball which controls changing the color of the trackball. It also give the users the capability to control the Pearl trackball default color by a software program. However if you’re using an 88xx series Blackberry you can’t use a software program to make the trackball change color because the underlying LED is one color - white. Now what can you do ? The folks at Instructables have a 4 step process that involves removing the trackball ring (ahhh, don’t be scared, it’s just a phone) and coloring over the LED Diode with a Sharpie marker.
