According to VeriSign during the first 6 months of 2008 with the help of all the mobile operators in the U.S. , al the cell phones were busy enough to sent out 95.4 billion SMS, which is a record in the history of mobile services. VeriSign’s network also set a single-day record by enabling 648 million texts over a 24-hour period and a one-hour record of 42 million messages. The report also shows that the actual percentage of people using SMS services, however, is concentrated in certain types of users. Not everyone uses SMS. Not by a long shot. So, if you ask me, then the take away from this post would be “GET YOURSELF AN UNLIMITED TEXT PACKAGE” if you don’t have it yet.
