It seems that most carriers are adopting the 5GB limit. Some will charge users for any usage over the limit and others will go as far as to terminate the user’s account for good. Sprint, it seemed, was the heavy data user’s savior. But, things have changed; read on:

“Sprint reserves the right to limit throughput speeds or amount of data transferred and to deny, terminate, modify, or suspend service if usage exceeds 5GB per month in total or 300MB/month while off-network roaming. Check your subscriber agreement rights on Sprint.com” -Internal Sprint Memo

The good thing is that although Sprint have slated out its rules and regulations very clearly, it usually doesn’t enforce penalties on its subscribers. So let’s hope for the best.
