The Jawbone 2 is finally amongst us after having crossed the FCC hurdle. And interestingly enough, it is called earwear, rather than a headset by the manufacturers, Aliph. This latest Jawbone is 50% smaller than the original award-winning headset, and is just as stylish and more ergonomic. For functionality, it sports noise elimination technology (NoiseAssassin) that provides even better voice quality than the original. Furthermore, Jawbone’s NoiseAssassin technology literally feels your speech with its patented Voice Activity Sensor (VAS). The Jawbone headset uses the VAS to distinguish the sound of your voice from ambient noise with incredible accuracy and then uses proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to subtract the noise so only the sound of your voice comes through. It is available at AT&T retail outlets and at www.jawbone.com for $129.99.
