It’s pretty messed up when it’s Japan that gets the rehashed has-been phones many, many months after release. It’s been a year and a half now that the original LG KE850 had been released elsewhere. Sure, the phone is now equipped with NTT DoCoMo-specific changes and upgrades, but the only substantial upgrade is the the presence of 7.2Mbps data, even though the press release insists that the new model has been “redeveloped specifically” for NTT DoCoMo. Besides that, the phone comes with run-of-the-mill 2 megapixel autofocus camera and a 3-inch wide QVGA display, and is due for launch next month.
