Something’s definitely awry. Both the US and UK online stores of Apple are now reporting that the iPhone is ‘currently unavailable;’ thus, no 8GB or 16GB versions of the phone are available. Apparently, Apple significantly underestimated demand for the 2.5G models ahead of the 3G release that’s still a few weeks (or months) down from now, or the 3G iPhone is indeed a lot closer than anyone would have ever predicted.
