Amazon.com has the LG Aloha prepaid phone for Virgin Mobile on sale for just $1.99 after rebate with free shipping for everyone. There are no strings attached: you can purchase as many or as few Virgin Mobile minutes as you wish. (Be sure to check rates first.) The LG Aloha phone is a basic flip-phone weighing a svelte 2.7 ounces, and it doesn’t have any annoying antenna stub sticking out of the phone. Reviews are good. Also Virgin Mobile operates on the Sprint network, so coverage is available wherever Sprint’s own network is available. It’s a CDMA phone (850 and 1900 MHz frequencies). If you can figure out how to unlock the phone, a great deal becomes an amazing deal. You can apply for the rebate online with Amazon.
