Default Mods for Kyocera Cyclops K325

After doing some online research the following what i have gatherd so far. You will be able to perform the following mod after readting this thread.

-Getting pictures off the phone
-Putting ringtones on the phone
-Putting wallpapers on the phone

And here's how you can do it:

Data Cable: Order the generic data cable from cell-phone-accessories-wholesale.com which is supposed to work with the Cyclops. the Kyocera TXDTA 10102.

Data Cable Driver and install instructions were available for download from: http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/cycl...ne/drivers.htm

Install the drivers from the exe file, turned off the phone, and connected the cable from computer to phone
The found new hardware wizard then installed two more drivers (I check the allow internet search box).
Then disconnect the phone and turned to the software.

Bit Pim (ver 0.9.10)
After install open the program and go to Edit\Settings. Set the Phone Type to: Other CDMA phone, then click the Browse... button to the right of Com Port, one of the options should be: Kyocera K24 series Control Port (COMx), select it. Click OK at the bottom to accept these settings. Next click the View tab and make sure View Filesystem is checked.
Then close the program and turn off the phone. Connect the phone to the computer and start Bit Pim. The program won't 'see' the phone but highlighting the Filesystem icon in the left window will allow you to access it. With Filesystem highlighted, look in the center window and click the arrows to the left of folders to open the file tree. Clicking on a folder and highlighting it will display that folders contents in the right window. Highlighting an object in the right window then right clicking will bring up options allowing you to save it to your computer or delete it. Also draging a file from you desktop and dropping it into the right window will place that object into the highlighted folder from the center window. Using these two abilities I have been able to remove photos taken by the camera (located in brew\shared\campics\pics folder) to my desktop, dragged and dropped mp3s into my ringtones folder (located in Ringtones must be placed into the /brew/media/snd/ringer folder not the default folder inside ringer), and placed wallpaper (128 X 160 png files -sorry, I didn't write down location) onto the phone. The biggest downside of Bit Pim so far has been it only allows moving a single file on or off the phone at a time, a very slow way to move 30 pics off your phone!

EasyCDMA (ver 1.6)
Like Bit Pim this program will not 'see' the phone either, but the filetree system works. It took a very long time at startup just downloading from the phone every last item in the filetree. Another negative, the trial version will not allow placing items onto the phone, but will instead install several "example" files into the folder you are on, be prepared to delete these. On the positive side it allows selecting multiple items at once to be moved to the PC side, a real plus over Bit Pim if you have many pics to move onto your computer.
