The reasons why Verizon did not have iPhone

Yes, Verizon Wireless DID in fact almost get the iPhone. Why did VZW pass on it?
#1: Apple wanted complete control over the iPhone. They didn't want VZW to do ANYTHING to it.
#2: Apple wanted all of the rights to the Verizon Wireless V Cast Music catalog.
#3: Apple wanted all of the V Cast songs converted/moved over to iTunes.
Verizon Wireless said "Keep shopping around!"
Apple was being too greedy and wanted WAY too much control over the iPhone.
Even with all of the hyper around the iPhone, VZW's high speed data network (Rev A 700kbps-1.4Mbps) is MORE THAN **5** times faster than AT&T's "EDGE" network (70-135kbps)+, which is what the iPhone runs off of.
People need to do their homework before they jump all over something.
(calculation based off of the slowest VZW speed (700kbps) divided by EDGE's FASTEST speed (135kbps).... 700/135 = 5.18 times fast.. AT LEAST)
