Google SMS on T-Mobile Prepaid (Shortcodes not Supported)

Google SMS service is getting better day by day. But, it doesn't work on T-Mobile prepaid. Why? Here's what Google's help center says: "US shortcodes are not supported on T-Mobile prepaid service, which means that unfortunately, you currently can't use Google SMS with T-Mobile prepaid." Click here for full context of the help page. Of all the wireless companies/plans, T-Mobile prepaid is the only one mentioned!
