Sprint Nextel Corp. (S : Sprint Nextel Corporation which has lost postpaid customers to rivals and struggled to keep pace, lagged well behind. The carrier finished with a score of 92 points, below the industry average of 100 points, J.D. Power said.

Sprint has made at least eight acquisitions since 2005, including a blockbuster $35 billion deal for Nextel Communications, but thousands of customers have defected to rival operators in light of the company's trouble integrating all its new assets. Sprint's churn rate still tops 2%.
Wireless-phone customers say their problems are rising with Sprint, according to a study by noted consumer-research firm J.D. Power & Associates.
