Default How to use "Second Voice Line Service" in your pho

The following what i have colledted so far.

Q: How do I select my primary or second voice line to make a call?
A: To make a call, simply select the line you want to use from your phone’s menu.

Below are the line selection details by phone manufacturer that work on most models

LG
Menu > Settings > Calling > Select Line

Motorola
Settings > Phone Status > Active Line

Nokia
Press and hold the # key on the main display.
or
Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Call > Line in Use

Pantech

Samsung

Siemens
Menu > Setup > Network
Line is highlighted > press Select
Select Line is highlighted > press Select
Choose Line 1 or 2 > press Select

Sony Ericsson
Menu > Settings > Calls > Switch to Line 2/Line 1

BlackBerry 8300 Curve
Phone Application > highlight the number field > Menu > Change Line
or
Phone Application > Menu > Options > General Options > Active Line

HTC S621
Start > Settings > Phone > Call Options > Current Outgoing Line

Treo 650 and 680
Phone > Menu > Options > Change Line
Hold down the # key

Q: How do I know which line a call is coming in on?
A: When your phone rings, a “1” or “2” will display on the screen indicating which line is receiving the call.

Q: Can I place a call on hold on one line and answer a call coming in on the other?
A: No. You cannot put one line on hold while using the other. If your line is in use, the incoming call from the other line will go directly to voicemail. If you do not have voicemail, the caller will hear a busy signal. Note that if you are using one line, and a second call comes in to the same line, call waiting will function normally.

Q: How can I get Voicemail or other Wireless Essentials on my second voice line?
A: If you currently subscribe to Voicemail, Call Display, Name Display , WhoCalled™, Call Waiting or Caller Ring Trax™ on your primary voice line, you will automatically receive these services on your second voice line at no additional cost.

Q: Can I get a different Wireless Essential on my second voice line?
A: The Wireless Essentials listed above will appear on both lines, however, certain Wireless Essentials, such as LD Savers, will be available separately on the second voice line.

Q: How does Voicemail work on my second voice line?
A: If you have Voicemail on your primary line, your secondary line will automatically receive Voicemail at no additional cost. A shared voicemail box will be created to accommodate both lines simultaneously:
You can create separate greetings for each line Messages for both lines will be deposited into the same voicemail box .You can listen to all voicemail messages by simply dialing the usual Voicemail Retrieval Number (the “1” key on your phone) .
Note: Long distance charges will apply for checking messages outside of the local calling area of the line that is being used to retrieve the messages.

Q: Does adding a second voice line affect my primary line’s existing Voicemail service?
A: Yes. Your Voicemail service will be changed to a shared, “multi-line” voicemail box. As a result, all voicemail messages will be erased, you will need to reset your password, and you will need to record a new greeting for each line. Please ensure you listen to all existing and saved messages in your voicemail box prior to activating activcating your Second Voice Line Service.

Q: Can I use my second voice line while roaming outside of Canada ?
A: You may not be able to place or receive calls using your second voice line on foreign networks, since foreign network behaviour is unpredictable and not in Rogers ’ control. As a result, it is recommended that you use only your primary line when roaming. If you are able to make/receive calls on your second voice line, it is possible that the line indicator and billing may default to your primary line.

Q: Can I forward my second voice line to my primary, and vice versa?
A: No – this cannot be done.

Q: How does text messaging work on my second voice line?
A: Your phone has only one text messaging inbox. This means all text messages will be received in the same inbox and all outgoing text messages will be sent and billed to your primary voice line number. Text messages cannot be sent from your second voice line number.

Q: Can I use the mobile internet on my second line?
A: No – when you access the browser on your phone, your primary line will be used by default. All billable data usage (such as content downloads, chat, etc.) will be charged to your primary voice line number.

Q: Will I get a separate invoice for my second voice line?
A: No – both your primary and second lines will be displayed on the same invoice, but in separate sections, so you can easily identify your second voice line usage and monthly service fee.

All plans are available on 1/2/3 year terms, there is no chat n send
bonuses, no SAF or 911 and no ECF on the 2nd line
