Hello people , Happy new year and some simple info for my fellow Blackberry Users:
On the Pearl Q1: Can you turn off the green light that flashes every few seconds at the top right? It's really annoying because I use it as an alarm in my bedroom but that green flash lights up my whole room and I gotta cover it with a cloth so I can sleep! Ans: Yes, you can. To turn the green light off go to: Options ->Screen/Keyboard ->Scroll down to LED Coverage Indicator and change it to off. If you press the green send key then soft key next to it (left of the pearl) then select options/general options you can scroll down to ringtone lighting. If you set it to trackball it will change colors when it rings. Q2: Can you just set the alarm to go off once? i.e. I need the alarm on Saturday mornings but after it wakes me up and I turn it off, the alarm will go off again the next morning unless I remember to change the settings to turn off "daily". that's annoying too. Ans: Click the green call button so you see the call list. then press the button to the right of it(menu) then scroll down to options and press the pearl, press pearl again with general options hilited. scroll top bottom (ringtone lighting)press the pearl and choose trackball. press the return key (right side of pearl) and choose save. then exit back to home screen. call yourself and as soon asiot rings it changes colors Q3: Someone told me the trackball can change color....I didn't really believe him but is it really true?? Ans: The 8130 does not have a color changing LED behind the pearl. Only white. But rest, yes you can. |
