I have gathered some common questions that one might ask before he/she gets into HELIO service agreement. Hope it will help you.
Do I get charged for roaming and long distance?Within the US, you will not be charged extra for long distance or roaming. Outside of the US, international call rates will apply. Can I get a family plan? Helio doesn't currently offer a Family Plan, but does offer a Shared Plan. For $60 per month, you can enjoy the 1000 minute A La Carte plan. If 1000 minutes won't do, upgrade to the 1500 minute A La Carte plan for only $20 more per month. Once you choose the plan that meets your needs, you can add up to four lines for just $10 more per month per line. Can I transfer my old mobile number to my new Helio device? Absolutely. To port your number to Helio, make sure you let your Helio sales representative know that you'd like to bring your number with you to Helio. If you're dealing with your Helio sale representative in person, they'll start the porting process right there with you. If you're ordering over the web or phone, let your Helio sales representative know that you're interested in porting your number. After you receive your device, then you can either go to Helio.com or call us at 1.888.88.HELIO to start the port. Note: Remember to always have a copy of your current wireless bill when you port. It makes things go much smoother.. Do you have extended nights and weekends? All Helio memberships come with free Nights and Weekends. Nights start at 9:01 PM and end at 5:59 AM. Weekends start at 9:01 PM on Friday and end at 5:59 AM on Monday. Helio does not currently offer an option to extend Nights and Weekends. How do I know if I am in a 3G coverage area? The best way to tell if you're in a 3G coverage area is to look at your device. If you're in a 3G coverage area, then you will see 3G in the upper part of the front screen. If you see 1x, you will still be able to connect to the wireless data network, but at a reduced speed.What happened to Hybrid? The Hybrid will no longer be available through Helio. Members will not be able to access the web via 3G or Boingo Hotspots using the Hybrid as of May 8th, 2007. Hybrid members are welcome to keep the Hybrid card at no additional charge. Hybrid members will only be billed for their usage through May 7th. Since Hybrid service is billed in advance, a credit may be applied to your account, sent to you in the form of a check, or applied to your debit/credit card depending on your billing cycle, charges incurred, payments made and method of payment. Instructions to uninstall the Hybrid software from your laptop are available in the User Guide in the Support section of www.Helio.com. My friends don't have service with Helio. Can they receive my picture messages? Helio currently supports picture messaging with some of the major carriers in the US including: -Verizon -Sprint -T-Mobile -Cingular -Boost Remember, your friends must also have a phone that is capable of receiving picture messages. They may also need to subscribe to a plan that includes picture messaging Is there an activation fee for each line on the plan? Each line under the plan will incur the $30 activation fee. Is there an option to sign a contract that is less than two years? Currently, Helio only offers two year contracts. What is the Service Cancellation Policy? If you cancel your service after the Total Happiness Guarantee Period but prior to the end of the Initial Term of this Agreement, you may be charged a cancellation fee of up to $175 per wireless number or account including a data service plan, depending on your Membership. What is the Return Policy after i activate my phone? Helio offers a 30-day, Total Happiness Guarantee for handset devices and accessories.For a return for a full refund under the Helio Total Happiness Guarantee, you must return your equipment with all original packaging and all accessories (such as manuals, packaging, battery, charger, ear bud, cables, etc.) in like-new condition with no visible damage within 30 days of purchase. The 30-day period begins on the date of purchase, or for members migrating or porting from another service, begins on the day the port is complete. What is the Upgrdae Policy with HELIO ? Members in good standing are eligible for the device upgrade program after the initial 12 months of their contract has passed. Good standing is defined as an account with: No outstanding balance; No bad debts; and, No previous abuse of the Happiness Guarantee or exchange policies. Members are eligible for the new member price of a device after maintaining 12 months of continuous service if the member meets all of the eligibility requirements. Members are eligible for the new member price including up to a $150 discount after24 months if they meet all of the eligibility requirements. The discount amount will depend upon device model and plan as defined by Helio and is subject to change without notice. For More info: Check out www.Helio.com |
