What is HELIO?
HELIO is a new mobile brand custom-built for young, connected consumers. As a $440 million joint venture, HELIO, LLC, brings together the innovation from the world leader in wireless - SK Telecom - and the service and support synonymous with leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) - EarthLink - to deliver a breakthrough mobile experience.
How will the new service be different than what is currently available?
Helio’s service offering is designed to enhance communication with your community of friends through unique social networking, gaming and entertainment applications. Helio is the only mobile service provider to offer a custom mobile MySpace service that allows you to manage MySpace mail, comments and friend requests while on the go. We also offer photo blogging and posting directly from your Helio device to your MySpace account, including more photo storage on MySpace. Other unique services include the ability to gift, or buy for another Helio member, and beg, or request from another Helio member, content including 3D and multiplayer games.
What products will you be offering?
We offer a portfolio of devices to let our consumers pick the device that is right for them. Our first two devices, Hero and Kickflip combine innovation from one of the most advanced 3G markets in the world with customized design elements and features for the U.S. consumer. These first two devices are built for the young consumer who wants to stay connected with friends through MySpace, blogging, messaging, video, pictures and games.

SK Telecom, based in Korea, is the world's most advanced wireless operator. Through our relationship, we're able to leverage SK Telecom’s portfolio of advanced handsets, its innovative suite of applications and services and the results of its annual R&D investment. EarthLink has operated an MVNO in the U.S. market for the past four years, has a reputation for award-winning customer support and has extensive experience in Wi-Fi products and services. These assets will be fundamental to the development of the new brand and service.
