They call the iphone a multimedia phone and but smartphone and now iphone is becoming a smartphone day by day. Yesterday vista mobile said that iPhone users using Visto Mobile will be able to securely and easily access push corporate email without downloading any additional software to the device or requiring any changes to security policies or corporate firewall settings. The service is available for both individuals and enterprises, and is free for 60 days. More information and subscription rates (which have not yet announced for Europe) is available at http://www.vistomobile.com/iphone
So, does that take the iPhone a step closer to smartphone territory? Visto President and CEO, Brian Bogosian definitely thinks so. Now, that's “BlackBerry,” “smartphone,” and “corporate email” – all being mentioned in the same statement. No, we don't think the folks at Symbian or Microsoft will be having sleepless nights yet. But they might – might – be already having a few bad dreams. |
