Frequently Asked Questions General About Prexar Mobile Prexar Mobile is a wireless provider capable of wireless voice, messaging and data services. Prexar Mobile is excited to be offering customers of Amp'd mobile new service to ensure an uninterrupted wireless service and a seamless transition. Did Amp'd go out of business? Amp'd is potentially suspending US operations on July 31st. Prexar Mobile provides service on the same network as Amp'd. This means your voice coverage will remain the same. You can call Prexar Mobile at 877.96.PREXAR (1.877.967.7392), or visit www.prexarmobile.com to keep your service on. What is the relationship between Prexar Mobile and Amp'd ? Prexar Mobile provides service on the same network as Amp'd. How long will Amp'd customer service be provided to help with issues such as ports or credits? Amp'd Customer Service will not be available after July 23rd. Prexar Mobile Customer service is available now by calling 877.96.PREXAR (1.877.967.7392). Will Amp'd be bought by another carrier? Amp'd is currently in discussions with several parties. You can switch your service to Prexar Mobile today to avoid any interruption in your service by calling 877.96.PREXAR (1.877.967.7392), or visit www.prexarmobile.com. Can I keep my existing Amp'd handset? If you choose Prexar Mobile you can keep your existing handset. Switching to Prexar Mobile What does it take to signup with Prexar Mobile? Call Prexar Mobile today or sign up online now. You will need to provide the following information: Name, Address, Amp'd Mobile Number, Amp'd Account Number, Amp'd Password or Pin (If Applicable), Daytime Contact Number (alternate to cell if possible), Social Security Number, ESN/HEX/MEID (this can be found underneath the battery on your wireless phone). How long will it take to activate my account? Prexar Mobile will submit your order immediately and normally get a response within 24 hours. Carrier processing lead times vary. What if I have more than one person on my account? You should signup once per phone number. Each phone number must have an order placed. If you have a multi-line account, make sure to specifically request each number with Prexar Mobile. Billing How will I be billed by Prexar Mobile? Prexar will require you to provide a credit card that will be charged on the day prior to each new billing cycle. Do I need to pay my outstanding Amp'd bill? Yes, it is Prexar Mobile's understanding that Amp'd will require you to pay any previous balances. However, when you start service with Prexar Mobile your account balance will be zero. We will not be collecting any previous balances you may have with Amp'd Mobile. Will I have to pay an Early Termination Fee? You will need to review the Amp'd Mobile Questions & Answers, but our understanding is that you will not be required to pay an Early Termination fee when you convert your service to Prexar Mobile. Amp'd Mobile Pre-Paid / Hybrid Minutes What happens to my share plan minutes? Prexar Mobile will not carry over your existing Amp'd share plan minutes. Prexar Mobile will soon be providing you with plan choices for shared minute plans. What happens to my Pay As You Go minutes? Prexar Mobile will not offer Pay As You Go minutes. You will need to review the Amp'd Mobile Questions & Answers. Can I port my prepaid number? Prexar Mobile will not offer prepaid plans, and will not be able to Port a prepaid number. You would need to select of Prexar Mobile's postpaid plans. What happens to my Hybrid plan minutes? Prexar Mobile will not offer Hybrid plan minutes. You will need to review the Amp'd Mobile Questions & Answers. Amp'd Mobile Content Can I still buy Amp'd Mobile songs, ringtones and videos? At this time Prexar Mobile will be offering voice and text only services. Prexar Mobile is working with various content providers, and hopes to be able to provide those features in the future. Can I still view Amp'd Mobile songs, ringtones and videos I have already purchased? Yes, as long as you keep your memory card and the handset provided by Amp'd. With Prexar Mobile you will not be able to purchase additional songs, rintones or vides at this time. My Personal Information If I'm coming from another carrier, what will happen to my contacts? As long as you keep your existing handset when you transfer your service to Prexar Mobile you will not lose your contacts. Will my personal account information be safe? Amp'd has not disclose any of your personal account information to Prexar Mobile. Prexar will gather your personal information when you sign up for service with Prexar Mobile. |
