Default att tilt 8925 hands on review

Here it goes folks and thanks to crutnacker from att

Pros:

- GPS is really cool and isn't locked (or at least it's working with Google Maps). It was fun to cruise down the highway and watch the satellite map on Google Maps show me an overhead view. It also helped plot a route to my daughter's friends house.

- Screen is nice and clear.

- Weight and size are large, but not as bad as I thought they would be. They don't seem that different from my 2125 which did 1/4 as much.

- 3G is fast (although not as fast as I envisioned)

- Keyboard looks better than I could have imagined.

- Programs open fast.

- WiFi is quick to figure out and intuitive (easier than trying to connect to a new network on my Vista laptop)

- Call quality appears to be outstanding.

- Camera took nice pictures in daylight lighting.

- Tilt up is nice and the hinge appears to lock it in many different shapes.

- Movement of the slide mechanism to the other side is a plus for me because I hold my phone in the left hand and it'll keep me from knocking the keyboard out while on a call.

- Window Mobile 6 is much better than the smart phone interface.

- Adequate onboard memory!

Cons:

- AT&T did a horrible job preparing employees for the phone.

- Keyboard with a full tilt is difficult to use. (The screen cuts into the room with the keyboard.

- Limited accessories in package. (I NEED A CASE!)

- My daughter understood what the enclosed screen protector was for, and nicely removed it from its backing and handed to me. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that was what she had, so I set it on my desk, ruining it.

- Preloaded software by the tons that is of minimal worth (and in the case of a couple games, proved difficult to close)

- Micro SD means I have to buy YET ANOTHER card. (What's next, microdotSD?)

- The silver keys at the bottom of the display look and feel rather cheap.

Potential battery hog.

- No simple way to put the phone on vibrate or turn down the sounds (that I have found).

- Back of phone appears a bit flimsy.

- Heavy
