This is by far the simplest and easiest way to unlock your 1.1.4 iphone.
Read the instructions throughly until you fully understand all the steps.
If you have question ask because the last thing you want to do is brick your iPhone.
First of all you need to get iPhone 1.1.4 on your iphone.
You can just download it from iTunes or simply click below.

Also it is important to know what version bootloader you have.
This can be done by adding
http://hackthatphone.com/1.xml to your installer sources and then selecting "Baseband Information" under the "Hack that Phone tools" section.
Run Baseband Information and write down somewhere what version you have. You will either have 3.9 or 4.6.
Next install the 1.1.4 update to your iphone.
It is crucial that you do not update directly from iTunes you must do a restore.
Also you dont want to just click restore because it will restore to the latest version.
Instead hold down Ctrl(Windows)/Option(Mac) and click on restore.
This will let you select whichever version you want to restore to.
Next browse to wherever you donwload the 1.1.4 restore file to and restore.
Next download and run "ziphone" from
ZiPhone's Blog,
but dont click on anything until you read all the way through the guide.
(They have a windows version and a mac version)
If you have bootloader 3.9 simply click "Do it all" on the left and "Start process" on the right and sit back and relax.
If you have 4.6 then you should first downgrade by selecting "Downgrade 4.6BL to 3.9 & flash/unlock 4.03" under the advanced tab in ziphone.
The reason you want 3.9 Boot loader is because 4.6 does not work with the loacate me feature of google maps.
